Privacy Policy

Aristo is built to hold what you write and nothing else.

Summary

• There is no account, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.
• What you write is stored on your device and, through iCloud, in your own iCloud account. The developer never receives it and cannot see it.
• Aristo does not sell any data.
• The one optional purchase in Settings is handled through RevenueCat, described below. It never sees what you write.

What the app stores

Aristo uses Apple's SwiftData framework to store your cards (the idea or quote you capture, your reflections on it, and any optional source) in a database on your device.

iCloud sync

Aristo syncs your cards across your own devices using Apple's CloudKit service, under your own iCloud account. That data goes only to Apple's iCloud, is governed by Apple's privacy practices, and is never accessible to the developer. If you are not signed in to iCloud, or you turn iCloud off for Aristo in iOS Settings, your cards stay on your device.

Third parties

Aristo does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services.

The optional one-time "Support Aristo" purchase in Settings is processed through RevenueCat, a service that verifies purchases with Apple. It receives an anonymous random identifier for your install, your purchase history for this app, and basic device information such as your IP address. It never receives your ideas, reflections, or anything else you write. It is used only to confirm whether you have purchased, and is not used for advertising or tracking. Data deletion

Your cards live on your device and in your iCloud account. Deleting the app removes the copy on your device. To remove the iCloud copy, go to iOS Settings, open your Apple Account, then iCloud, then Manage Storage, and delete Aristo's data. There is no copy of your cards on any server run by the developer. To have RevenueCat delete the anonymous purchase record for your install, email the address below.

Children's privacy

Aristo does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Apart from iCloud sync, the only data that leaves your device is the anonymous purchase information described above.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, this document will be updated and the date below revised.
